We often get asked by couples whether they should list guests alphabetically or by table number.  For the vast majority of weddings, alphabetical seating charts are the way to go.  Why is this?  It is easy and fast! You want your guests to easily find their name on the chart and move on. The last thing you need is for people looking through hundreds of lines of guests names to find theirs and having them feel stressed that a line is building behind them.  Your job as hosts is to make everyone feel comfortable so they can enjoy their night, so our suggestion is to list alphabetically.

In what cases is it ok to list by table? If you are having a very small wedding (say 30-40 people), guests won’t have to spend too long at the chart and you could opt for a table number organization.

Do we have to alphabetize the names?  No, we do!  When you place your order, you’ll need to upload a completed spreadsheet, based on our template (download it here).  The columns will include the following:  Guests Names (Mr. & Mrs. John Smith), Table Number (6) , First Name (John)  and Last Name (Smith). We’ll sort it by Last Name and First Name so that all the guests are sorted properly.

The first is the Luxe Frame Seating Chart. Similar in style to two of our most popular charts, Fancy Frame and Elegant Frame, this chart has a beautiful swirl design around the couple’s names.

The next two designs incorporate bold color and modern patterns.  The Moroccan design is also similar to a Quatrefoil design.  This style of pattern has become very popular in the textile industry with fabrics as well in the stationery industry. Now, it is available to you in our seating charts!  The last design is a simple Gingham design.  It incorporates a transparent white criss-cross pattern on top of your choice of color.
